News/Notes

06.13-14.08

To Women of Faith,

Just a very quick note to let you know of a change for our W.O.F. Conference 2008. Chicago cancelled their conference for next year, so we will be going to St. Louis June 13 & 14, 2008. It is Father's Day weekend, but we have done that weekend before and it always seems to work.

Our committee will be meeting in three weeks to start planning for the year as we have a fall fundraiser November 4th. But, we wanted you to know about the change as we have people already signed up. The ticket price will still be $65.00 + 8.00 box lunch (if you want to eat at the center) and can always be paid anytime. Any questions, ask your church representative.

Looking forward to another great year for Women of Faith

Our Mission

The Women's Ministry at NLCC strives to exalt Christ by equipping and encouraging women to grow in God and to serve Him.

Who Can Get Involved

Any woman with a desire to serve God can get involved.

Where We Meet

The Women's Ministry meets on a monthly basis in member's homes or at the church. Additional meetings are scheduled as necessary for specific activities and events.

Activities and Services

The Women's Ministry is very active in the church and throughout the community, being involved in a number of activities and services. Services that are performed on a regular basis include updating the bulletin board, formatting the church newsletter, nursing home ministry, and sign language classes. We also participate in a number of annual activities and seminars including a women's conference, pastor appreciation day, ladies fall retreat, and the promotion of Women of Faith conferences. Some needs arise unexpectedly and the Women's Ministry works to make these times more comfortable by providing meals for new parents and the ill, as well as flowers for hospitalizations and funerals.

Small Groups

Many small group opportunities are available through the Women's Ministry and are a great way to connect and fellowship with other Christian women. Bible studies, the women's conference, preparation of special meals, nursing home ministry, and sign language classes are all ways to build close relationships within our large church family.
